My Wardrobe Staples
I love a good shopping spree. Every time I go, I tell myself that I am going to branch out and come home with something new.
A new pattern maybe, a different color than usual. Even after I tell myself that, I almost always come home with the same styles and colors that I always do. It used to frustrate me that I never seemed to branch out when shopping. But as I look in my closet, I see that I’ve been able to create a wardrobe that goes exactly with my style, without many wildcards.
It’s nice to get something different every now and then, but I love the idea that I’m creating the perfect wardrobe for myself when I go shopping. In order to do that, you need the basics! Here are what I consider staples in my wardrobe.
1. The Perfect Jeans
This includes a nice cigarette cut, light-wash pair for Spring and Summer, and a darker skinny-jean for Fall and Winter. I wear jeans almost everyday so I make sure that I love the jeans I have and am conformable in them.

2. A Good Blouse
When it comes to building a classic wardrobe, invest in a nice white and black blouse. They look great with jeans and a sandal dressed down in the Spring. Or tucked in with slacks and flats for a more dressed up look.

3. Blazer
Blazers can sound boring when you think of the classic pantsuit look, but pair blazer with jeans and a tee and you have a really edgy, sophisticated look.

4. Mules/Loafers
I wear these styles of shoes almost every day. They are easy and comfortable to walk around in and dress up any look.

5. Classic Sunglasses
Sunglasses are the perfect, chic finish to any look. Invest in a pair that you feel comfortable in and can wear with anything. They will definitely elevate your look.
